Galantine's treats

I met a couple of friends recently - on separate occasions, we don’t see each other that often due to geography and commitments; they are such generous, loyal souls and I really love their company when we do meet up!

So, I made them a small scent treat - tis the season of love and affection after all - to take along.

I made two hand creams (no pics) and two bath salts. Bath salts are SOO easy to make, yet incredibly effective and nurturing.

Both have a base of epsom salt, but two different essential oil recipes. You could jazz them up further with added dried botanicals, such as petals, herbs, spices and combine with powdered milk - like coconut - for a skin soothing bath.

The pink bath soak has a comforting blend of Patchouli, Sweet orange, Rose absolute and Geranium with some added red clay. My friend loved this, she said one whiff instantly made her feel better and transported. So, you could take a spoonful and put in a small glass bottle or lidded travel pot and use as a smelling salt to carry around with you when in need of some sensory comfort and de-stressing ! :-)

The green bath soak has an invigorating blend of Eucalyptus, Rosemary and Spearmint with some added green clay - mainly for aesthetic interest, as there is not a large enough quantity to have any noticeable skin or therapeutic effect.

Another plus, is that this is such a fragrant and soothing activity to do - encourages some much needed sensory mindfulness.

Now, I just have to carve some pampering me-time and make one for myself!
